Launching VT's new renewable electricity purchasing guidance

In January 2024 we launched Vacuum Technique's first renewable electricity purchasing guidelines, which have been developed to help teams buy our energy in line with our sustainability goals and policies.  The first priority is to reduce the amount of energy that we use, and purchasing renewable electricity is one of the ways in which we can further reduce our carbon footprint. The guidelines include an overview of:

• The role renewable electricity plays in our wider energy transition strategy.
• Different types of renewable electricity that are available globally.
• What to look for when purchasing renewable electricity in your local market.
• Management system requirements to follow when purchasing renewable electricity, and reporting and evidencing renewable energy claims.
